Description
Flora of Nepal
Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh
Flora of Nepal is a team of botanists from the Royal Botanical Garden Edinburgh actively working together with the relevant institutions in Nepal to collect information on local flora and share their finding with the aim to increase knowledge on the country's plants.
The Flora of Nepal team asked us to design a website concept for their online Flora of Nepal database. As the website was going to be hosted internally once the concept was ready the garden's in-house IT department would implement it on the Flora of Nepal database.
Graphic Design
During our research we looked at several other online databases and based on that, we created a site map, established a soft, floral colour scheme, put together a collection of typefaces and created graphics for the website.
Website Design & Development
Based on our design we created a mock website using the skills listed below which was then used by the RBGE in-house IT department to integrate our design with their database.
